A colorful week

It's been a colorful week for me. Both literally and figuratively speaking.

I was asked to lead a crafts-group once every two weeks (voluntarily), which I said yes to but - since I've never done something like that - scares me a bit! I'm now putting together a plan of action, what kind of projects to make, materials needed, budgetting etc.. It's starting April 2nd, and my insecurities are going "what if they don't like my ideas? what if they don't like me?!" I wonder if I was suffering from temporary insanity when I said yes?

Hoping some crocheting would distract me a bit, I took out one of my WIPs.. I transformed this...

...........into this! Cody the Caterpillar! I used this pattern for the different size crochet balls. I wrote down what I did in this previous post...

Then I started with a new project.. I'm not telling you what it'll be just yet..

And I've been working on Wags the Wienerdog as well. I think he'll be ready in a few days. Seems like I've fallen in love with amigurumi again!

I also picked up some colorful crochet hooks.. I often use bamboo hooks but when I saw these just couldn't resist them!

And another thing happened to me. One of my friends had to go to a birthday party of a one-year-old, and asked me if she could come 'shop' at my house for a handmade present! It was such a compliment! She's always encouraging me to do something more with crafts.. I started thinking and well.. I'm going to try selling through Etsy! Again ;-) I'm not sure whether it will work, whether this is the right way for me, but why not try?

I'm celebrating with a give away here, so don't forget to check it out!

  3. All the colours are great, I love the caterpillar and can't wait to find out who the legs (?arms) are for!! Good luck with the Etsy venture. I have been thinking something similar. If you don't try you will never know, and there is nothing to lose!
