Finally.. A YoP Update!

I know I know.. I have been so quiet.. No YoP posts for .. a looooong time! Our little Kitty cat Nala has also been on intensive care (in our home) for the last couple of weeks... (here's the reason why by the way) so things have been a bit 'out of whack at home..

But today I am posting a YoP update! Yay!

Because of Nala I couldn't focus on patterns, so Ive been mainly working with my felt plushies and knitting-wise I've done a lot of 'instant gratification' projects.. Lots of comfy scarves being armknitted at the moment! You can find a few posted in this FO Friday post, and I even put three up for sale in my Lily Razz Shop! These two are my favourite ^_^

And do you remember this pillowcover I made a few months ago? A friend asked me to make one for her as she was so much in love with it! She has a new blue couch and she asked me if I could copy this one for her but with just a tiny bit more blue in it...

My crochet wrist is still a little achy so I'm taking my time, but it's almost finished! Below's the new one in the making!

Next to this, I've been trying out a new craft.. Needle Felting! I've just begun so I'm really inexperienced, but I did a workshop last week and have been in love ever since!
I'll blog more about that later though.. What craft do you like to do when you're not knitting / crocheting? Would love to hear it!

  2. Lovely to see you back and I hope Nala is on the mend soon. Love the arm knitting, I saw a post on it some months ago and thought it looked so cool and I love the cushion cover it's so bright and cheery and reminds me I was to do another cover for my couch. I've not tried needle felting but my friend has and she loves it also and has gotten some super results with it, looking forward to seeing your results.

    1. Thanks so much Ruth, I'm happy to be back! You're always so busy with crochet and making new designs, I wonder where you'd get the time to needle felt ;-)

  3. The pillow is very pretty and will look lovely on a blue couch. Hope that Nala gets better very soon. So sad to see an animal in pain. And they can't even tell you about it. You are a great pet owner.

    1. Thank you Marsha! Nala is getting better indeed.. we see her improve everyday.. And you can tell she's getting anxious to get out of her cage (which to me is only a good sign!) Fingers crossed she'll get a clean bill of health from the pet doctor soon!

  5. I hope Nala is okay! Your scarves look absolutely gorgeous! At high stress times, some mindless knitting is just the thing.

  7. I don't really love any other craft... I make cards... That is a bit fun... But other than that... If I am not with knitting needles or crochet hooks, look out!

    1. LOL Christine! I guess it's also because of my achy crochet wrist that I'm looking for other crafts.. Or maybe I just want to craft everything!!!!

  8. Oh, poor Nala.....poor baby. It hurts just thinking about it but she is in good hands and you are such a good Mom to her. But I remember when she was just a baby (although she still is really). Thank goodness the young heal fast. I bet you were a basket case when you found her. Thank goodness she will be okay.
Your arm knitted items are gorgeous...who knew? And I love the pillow. I need to do one of those...it looks like fun and a great way to use up scraps and stash.
So glad to hear you are still around. I have to put you on my list so I don't lose track of you. Have a great week and give Nala a little hug from me.

  9. Thank you Sam for all the sweet and caring words.. I was a basket case indeed, luckily I heard something and my gut told me something was wrong, so I almost instantly got her and brought her to the doctor immediately.. I'm so relieved she's getting better.. Nala and I are sending you hugs back over the interwebs!
